Review on behalf of my mom: The food was good but the lady kicked us out because of a party so I felt rushed. Also why do we have to pay for parking? It should be free. I mean the first hour is free but after that I don't remember. Whatever all I remember was that parking was not free. Back to the food. So many different kinds from frog to snails to oxtail to duck and seafood and chicken and beef. $40 a person on a weekend (excluding tip) is pretty nice. But yea I just felt rushed 1 hour and 30 min was not enough you know we just wanted to stay and chat not just eat and eat and eat. Chat just a little not like hanging out whole day. Just wanted to relax and eat. Also there was no party I think they lied. Yeah I mean the rule is 1 hour and 30 minute but I don't know
I love buffet especially seafood. Price point is good and the quality of the food match with the price point. My group went to this place at night and they still have so many food items. Steamed Snow crab kind of dry and very hard to crack the shell out. The restaurant didn't have any tools to help for this dish. Monday is not a busy day, so I feel like we have a private party here. Service is very good. They often clean up our table and see what we need. My friend also has a birthday cake here so they sing birthday song for her.
I have been to this buffet several times. This is one of the best buffets, I've been to and always look forward to dining here. It's a bit pricey but it's worth it. The only negative, is that I can't eat as much as I want due to my limited stomach capacity :-). The quality of food here is much better than other buffets. Really, I don't think I've had any bad dishes here. Some of my favorites. - The lobsters. The servers walk around and handed me a half lobster. - The sushi - all fresh and delicious - The made to order hibachi - Again, every dish is delicious. -The deserts, specifically , the macarons. I think each time, I had about 10 as they are very light. Service is very good, especially, as we went with a regular customer who comes every month. We are driving from Westchester and Rockland. Highly recommended.
I'd rate the Buffet three and a half stars. Don't let all the one stars reviews dissuade you. A popular spot like this will attract a lot of simplified one or five stars reviews which mid balance the rating. I think the experience here will compare more similarly to a place rated in the high threes on Yelp. Good buffets are nearly extinct and this one of the last good ones left. Lots of stations which could be overwhelming. Some of the standouts were the sushi station, the Chinese specialties station, the Peking duck station, the raw seafood station, and crepe station, and the dessert station though there are a handful more. The food was replenished quickly. The only wait I had was for Peking duck which took a few minutes. The staff kept our table clean and consistently made sure we had ample beverages. Atmosphere is very casual and family friendly.
Good food and service went for my Daughter graduation she enjoyed especially candy Bar, The price you pay for the variety well Worth it.....
Excellent selections; Peking duck at the carving station was crisp; steak roasts for the filet mignon and sirloins were tough at times and well-done. Enjoyed the crab legs and the abalone; sushi station was also extensive.
My family wanted to come here since we haven't been in forever. We came recently on a Saturday morning around 11:45am and it wasn't busy. There is a paid parking lot but you can try your luck with free residential parking in the area. Once parked, go in through the hotel entrance and take the elevators up to the 4th floor. There was no wait when we arrived. My brother said the total bill was ~$240 (6 adults and a toddler, no tipping). I think it was like mid $30s per adult for lunch. I couldn't find pricing posted at the front desk, just pricing for take out. My toddler is only 3 and my brother said they charged for him which I think is a little crazy because how much can a 3 year old eat at a buffet? When leaving I saw a child pricing chart on the wall but not sure how they use it because I didn't see them measuring my child's height or ask about age. The Buffet had hot foods relatively typical of a Chinese buffet (I actually saw my dad get frog legs which was different!), dim sum, cold foods, American foods like pizza and nuggets (I would never eat American stuff at a Chinese buffet though), sushi, a hibachi station, Peking duck, soups, fruits, dessert (cakes, pudding, yogurt, jello, chocolate fondue, dessert soups, etc), ice cream (matcha, vanilla or combo of both), fresh cotton candy and a crepe station. The food was hit or miss. Some stuff was pretty good and some was just mediocre. Everything was always stocked even if some of the plates/displays were half full which to me is fine because I'm assuming they just make small batches of fresh food? The sushi wasn't that great in my opinion (at least the ones I tried) despite there being a variety. My favorite is eel and the eel they had was very dry and minimal. Not a big deal but it would be a little helpful if the food signs indicated if the dish was spicy. I don't like any spice and I got some noodles which I thought weren't spicy, offered it to my toddler and he was upset lol. I heard someone at another table order bubble tea but our table just ordered hot tea, water and the kiddo got an OJ which tasted very artificial to me. The whole dining area was very bright and clean with a modern look. The wait staff were attentive, constantly clearing plates that were finished. Since we went in the afternoon, there was a lot of natural light due to their floor to ceiling windows which I loved. Being on the 4th floor you have nice views from that height. I know they have bathrooms but I didn't use them. When we were leaving around 2pm, the place was packed! Remember to validate your parking at the front desk of the restaurant otherwise parking is crazy expensive. I believe you get a $2 discount so we paid $4 for parking and were there approximately 2 hours. Pay for your parking on the first floor right outside the elevators at the machine. Hold onto your ticket because when you exit the lot, you have to feed the ticket into the machine. Overall, I would say for the price you pay (for lunch at least) is not bad for an AYCE because you have a lot of options and are bound to find something you'd like.
Last night we were craving for some good bites and I wasn't ready to experience The Buffet. This Restaurant may have actually been the best buffet I have been to in awhile and takes in your money's worth. From the seafood varieties, Peking Duck, soups, desserts, sushi specialties, prime rib and more - it's the perfect combination of home meals you grew up with and what you have eaten in other restaurants and see at The Buffet. Just in case you wanted to know the desserts, here is is- Papaya with White Woodear and Peanut Sweet Soup, Mo Mo Cha Cha, Tapioca Honeydew, Chilled Mango Sago cream with Pomelo, Wolf berries and Osmanthus CakeMango Pudding, Crème Brulee, Taro Ball and Red Bean with Grass Jelly Coconut Mochi with Peanut, Grilled Durian, Glutinous rice cake with brown sugar, Sesame ball, Chocolate Fondue, Matcha sift serve icecream, Cotton Candy and so much more. I was merely shocked by so much provided at each station. My favorites of the night were snow crab legs, the claws, some sushi, and especially the desserts. I was also amazed in the bathroom. You can push the toilet seat cover and it changes before you use it. Then towards the way out, there's a complimentary mouthwash... what?! I recommend you come early before dinner rush hour comes. Parking lot availability, keep your ticket for waiter to validate. All payments accepted, no tipping service. Staff is efficient and helpful. We will be back soon.
We returned for lunch this past Christmas eve - ~$32 pp, no-tipping restaurant now. (The last time we went here was more than 5 years ago. That time, there was a service fee, in addition to the tip) Same layout as I remember. A lot of food choices so I made sure I only took a bite-size of the ones I really wanted to try. A complaint is it took time for a lot of the dishes to be replenished. I enjoyed the sushi rolls, crispy pork skin, duck, and dessert. There was a hibachi station - my family each placed their order and were told to return, about 5 min. Variety is good bec everybody found what they liked. Dessert area was inviting, with mini slices of cakes, creme brulee, crepes, ice cream etc. Couldn't try most but liked what I did get. (Sometimes I eat with my eyes and want to try everything haha) Drinks are included. I remember bubble tea too but was too full for it. Lunch ends at 3 pm and they do close down the stations, until dinner time. Service was fast and attentive. Located on the 4th floor, via elevator. Parking available - got our ticket scanned so got $2 off.
The Buffet in Flushing is a great spot if you're looking for variety and quality. They have an impressive selection of cooked dishes and sushi, so there's something for everyone. The Peking duck station was a standout--the portions were generous, and even with its popularity, the line moved quickly, which I appreciated. The ambiance was pleasant, with a clean and modern setup that didn't feel overly hectic, even though it was close to a full house. The layout made it easy to navigate between stations, which is a big plus in buffet-style dining. Service was efficient and attentive, with staff regularly clearing plates and ensuring the stations were well-stocked. While it's not a luxury dining experience, it felt well-organized and welcoming. Overall, The Buffet offers a solid experience with great variety, decent ambiance, and good service. A strong 4 out of 5 stars!
